Grey and white and gold bathroom with European flair

There is just something about this bathroom. I find it so original. It

feels like something you'd find in a vintage James Bond movie.

I bet if we were to open that door we would walk into a penthouse suite 

decorated with thick red velvet curtains, fur throws, crystal chandeliers

and be served champagne and fresh caviar.

I love all the brushed gold. You would think there was too much gold in this room, with the brushed gold fixtures, gold faucets, gold door handles, gold vanity handles, gold mirror, gold towel warmer rack and even gold toilet brush! Gold, gold, gold everywhere you look, however, because it is brushed gold it is not overwhelming or tacky. The pairing of all that gold with the light grey wallpaper and black toilet seat works wonderfully. 

Lately, I am seeing a lot of bathrooms that are combining a

dark brown wood or black plastic toilet seat with a white toilet instead of the typical

white toilet seat. The more I see this combo, the more I like it. In this bathroom, the black (or is it dark grey?) toilet seat on the white toilet helps to anchor the eye and stops

the bathroom from looking washed out.
